My Voice AAC

Effective date: September 24, 2026

Overview

My Voice AAC is an augmentative and alternative communication app. Privacy is especially important for communication tools, so the app is designed to keep core AAC content and personalization on the user's device.

Information Used by the App

Depending on the features you choose to use, My Voice AAC may store information you create inside the app, such as communication profiles, customized vocabulary, favorites, settings, button order, personal pictures, recorded voice clips and other personalization data.

This content is used to provide the app's AAC and personalization features.

Camera and Photo Library

If you choose to personalize a vocabulary button with an image, the app may request access to the camera or photo library. Access is used only when you choose these features. You can change permission settings through iOS Settings.

Microphone

If you choose to record a custom voice for a vocabulary button, the app requests microphone access so that recording can be created. You can change microphone permission through iOS Settings.

Face ID or Touch ID

If biometric authentication is enabled for a protected parent or editing feature, authentication is handled by Apple's system frameworks. My Voice AAC does not receive or store your Face ID or Touch ID biometric data.

Profiles, Import and Export

If you choose to export or share a My Voice AAC profile or backup, the exported file may contain information that you added to the profile. You control where that exported file is saved or shared using the options provided by iOS. Imported files are processed to restore or add the selected AAC content.

Data Collection and Advertising

The current version of My Voice AAC is not designed to require an account, sell personal information, or use personal information for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.

If the app's data practices change in a future version, this policy and the applicable App Store privacy disclosures will be updated.

Children's Privacy

My Voice AAC can be used as a communication tool by people of different ages. The app is designed so that its core communication functions do not require a user account. Parents, guardians and support professionals should supervise device permissions, personalization, exports and sharing when appropriate.

Data Retention and Deletion

App-created information stored on the device remains there until it is changed or deleted through the app, removed with applicable app data, or otherwise managed through the device. Exported copies are controlled by the user and may remain wherever the user chose to save or share them.

Security

We use the security features provided by iOS and Apple's frameworks for applicable device functions. No method of electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated when the app or its data practices change. The effective date at the top of this page will identify the current version.
